We asked Dinesh a few questions to get to know him better, and here is what he had to say.
What do you do at Rainhouse?
I’m Dinesh, and I make sure that all the parts we manufacture meet the right standards and quality before they go out. This means checking the first pieces off the machine, doing final inspections, and using CMM reports to verify measurements. I also keep track of tool calibrations and look into any quality issues to make sure everything runs smoothly and meets expectations.
What do you enjoy most about working at Rainhouse?
I love being part of a tight-knit but passionate team that’s really dedicated to machining and manufacturing. Everyone here cares about what they do, which makes it easy for me to stay motivated and do my best. Plus, working on high-precision components for different industries keeps things exciting and always gives me something new to learn. As a bonus, I’ve met a lot of awesome pet dogs in the past three months!
What is your favourite aspect of quality assurance
I really enjoy the problem-solving side of quality assurance—figuring out why something isn’t right and finding ways to fix it. It’s satisfying to see how small changes can improve quality and efficiency. Plus, knowing that the parts we check are used in submarines and aerospace makes it even more fulfilling. I also love troubleshooting and working with all the cool parts our machines produce—it keeps things interesting every day!
What is something most people do not know about you?
I’m really into PC gaming and spend a lot of time on it. Back home, I used to love solo traveling on my bike, exploring beautiful sceneries and scenic view spots. Even now, I try to visit new places on weekends whenever I get the chance.
What is the ONE THING you cannot live without?
I can’t start my day without a good cup of coffee! And whenever I get the chance, I make sure to enjoy some South Indian food—it’s something I just can’t go without.
