Brandon Ribic
Meet Brandon Ribic, our Shop Assistant at Rainhouse Manufacturing. Brandon helps maintain the shop, assists with renovations and upgrades, and steps in for machining parts when needed. His enthusiasm for learning new skills and his willingness to help out wherever necessary make him a valuable team member, and he’s always ready to take on new challenges to keep things running smoothly.
We asked Brandon a few questions to get to know him better, and here is what he had to say.
What do you do at Rainhouse?
I’m the shop assistant for Rainhouse. In this role, I help with the general cleanup of the shop, perform any renovations, upgrades, or maintenance that happens in the shop. I also help machine parts when people are needed elsewhere.
What do you enjoy most about working at Rainhouse?
I love the workplace environment; everyone’s always there to help if I have questions and is willing to teach when I am doing something new.
What’s your favourite aspect of working as a shop assistant?
Learning: I love when I have the opportunity to use a different skill or make a new one. This has already happened a couple of times. Once, when shadowing the setup process for a few of the machining jobs, and the other was soldering pipes together for the new heat treater on the Robodrill.
What is something most people do not know about you?
I love outdoor activities, ranging from going on fishing and camping trips with my family to going skiing in the winter. Most recently, I have gotten into backpack camping and am looking forward to doing more.
What is the ONE THING you cannot live without?
My friends are what keep me going. I try to do something with someone most days of the week, this usually happens online through video games.
